Dr. Jonathan Quillian
Dr. Jonathan E. Quillian serves San Antonio as a proud Texan as well as one of the leading cosmetic dentists and restorative dentists in the state. He began his distinguished career in dentistry by receiving a doctorate in dental surgery from the prestigious University of Texas Health Science Center in 1979. A San Antonio native, he established his general practice in January of 1980.
Dr. Quillian consistently enhances his knowledge of modern dentistry techniques through continuing education courses, and he strives to deliver the most advanced dental care available today to his patients. He proudly claims title as a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and American Association of Implant Dentists. For 25 continuous years of membership in the pursuance of effective dentistry, Dr. Quillian recently received the Good Fellow Award from the Texas Dental Association. Over his dentistry career, he has also been awarded many postdoctoral training certificates in orthodontics, including Invisalign, endodontics, implants and, most recently, laser surgery with the revolutionary Periolase MVP7. In 2001, he was awarded the prestigious Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) after accumulating 500 hours of postdoctoral dentistry education.
Dr. Quillian and his staff recognize that all patients are unique in their own right, each having their own set of values pertaining to their oral health. At Culebra North Dental Care, our qualified dentistry staff creates an atmosphere of open communication with our patients. We believe in educating each patient in order to create an individualized dentistry plan with the ultimate goal of a healthy mouth, healthy body and radiant smile.
While attending dental school, Dr. Quillian met his wife, Cheryl, who was a student in the dental hygiene program. Since their marriage in 1979, they’ve pursued their love of dentistry as a team in their San Antonio dental practice. They pride themselves on their three grown children and thoroughly enjoy their company every time schedules allow. When not utilizing cosmetic dentistry to deliver beautiful smiles to his patients, Dr. Quillian enjoys fishing, gardening, painting and traveling.

Dr. Shelley Sproull
Dr. Shelley Sproull began contributing to the dentistry staff of Culebra North Dental Care in 1995. Before making San Antonio home, Dr. Sproull grew up in El Paso, Texas. She graduated from Texas Tech University with honors and a Bachelor of Science. In 1984, Dr Sproull earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, taking the first steps on her career path in dentistry.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Sproull worked for ten years as the Director of the dentistry program for the St. Vincent DePaul dental clinic, providing general dentistry care for indigent patients. In addition, she taught as a clinical chairside instructor at the San Antonio College of Medical and Dental Assistants.
Throughout her dentistry career, Dr. Sproull has kept abreast of new developments in cosmetic dentistry through continuing education. Proficient in all aspects of dentistry, she has also been certified in conscious sedation dentistry technique.
Dr. Sproull enjoys dentistry as a career, because every day brings a new challenge. Each patient expresses unique requirements for their cosmetic dentistry experience. By getting to know each patient individually, Dr. Sproull is able to recommend a treatment plan customized to fit that patient’s needs and desires. As a dentist, she feels especially rewarded when she changes a patient’s life and self-esteem, using cosmetic dentistry to create a beautiful smile!
Dr. Sproull and her husband, Bill, married 29 years ago and have two children. In her spare time away from cosmetic dentistry, she enjoys a good poker game, crossword puzzles, reading historical fiction and snow skiing. Dr. Sproull ardently loves her two dogs – one of which she adopted from a shelter, the other she rescued from the San Antonio street.
